Our History

Farrell Vending is a multi-generational company with strong ties to the community. We started in the food and beverage industry in the 1920s with a local produce cart.  Once prohibition ended, M.M. Farrell (Gramp) moved into the beer industry.  In the mid-1930s the company offered both beer and soda, offering Pepsi-Cola along with our own local beverages under the Dominion Dry Corp name.  In the 1940s Dominion Dry separated from the beer side of the family company completely and became L.E. Farrell Company owned by Louis E. Farrell, M.M.’s son.

L.E. Farrell Company grew over time to carry more and more Pepsi branded soft drinks and ceased production of Dominion Dry.  L.E. Farrell Company was then passed down to Louis’ son, Skip, in 1981.

Fast forward a few years to October, 1995. At this point Skip decided to take the company in a new direction with the purchase of Patrick’s Vending, a vending company that had been in business for over 50 years.  So began the company we are today -- Farrell Vending Services.

Farrell Vending quickly became one of the leaders in full-line vending.  Growth came quickly and we tripled in size by 1998, largely because of the acquisition of Middlebury Vending.  We then became a Canteen Franchise in 2001, opening up the opportunity for us to sell nationally branded foods.  We have continued to grow over the years and in 2005 we acquired All Seasons Vending.

In 2007 Skip decided to retire from the Pepsi business and sold that portion of L.E. Farrell Company.  As a result, we moved our offices into our current location, returning us to the very building in which it all started all those years ago as a Pepsi bottler.

Skip has now taken a step back from the day-to-day vending side, passing operations onto yet another generation.  His daughter, Samantha Farrell, is now leading the team.

We continue to grow and the future is bright.  Our customers include major education institutions, shopping malls, office buildings, Global Foundries, and too many more to mention.
